OMG, Jungle Cubs! *Epic fangirl scream*

I absolutely LOVE Jungle Cubs, it's one of my fave childhood Disney series! ^^

Every few months or so I either remember Jungle Cubs or find my Jungle Cubs video and get super obsessed with the show, watching the three eps I have on vid over and over. I then try and find the rest of the eps online (since they don't sell them on video/DVD) and I always fail, slowly go off Jungle Cubs and then repeat the process in a few months but this time was different! I managed to find ALL the Jungle Cubs eps in English on Youtube!

So I'm right into the series, obsessed over it more than I have been since they used to show it on TV when I was little, I'm sooooooooo happy!

And then I got obsessed with it as well! XDDD So this is also a gift for you pal since you made all those pics for me and included my Jungle Cub, Honey and Baloo in your 'Under the Mistletoe' vid!

The brown bear is my Jungle Cub, Honey and Aqua made her Nurse Joy in the vid whilst Baloo (Honey's future mate) was Brock! It's just hilarious, the whole vid is! 8DD

I'm still doing the Jungle Cub Love pic too Aqua, look out for it! ;D

Yah, I'm making another pic based off the 'Jungle Cub Love' song from the 'Splendor in the Mud' ep with all the Jungle Cubs and their future mates (All the girls are OC's apart from Winifred since she does actually become Hathi's mate in the Jungle Book ^^)

Baloo's mate is Honey, Bagheera's mate is Aqua (, Louie's mate is Mango, Kaa's mate is Angelica (thanks for naming her, Aqua! ^^), Shere Khan's mate is Serafina and Hathi's mate is Winifred, You'll see all the fan characters in my Jungle Cub Love pic! ^^

Anyway, back to this pic XDD

I saw a Jungle Cubs book with this cover and I thought it was so cute, I had to try drawing it myself and viola, here we have it!

I'm really pleased with this since I find Disney style really hard to draw, (it's like Sonic, you have to draw it for a while to get used to it) but I think this is a pretty good attempt at Disney style! 8D I tried colouring it in Disney style too. The shades came out alright but I LOVE the lineart, thank you so much to this tutorial for making Disney-style lineart a breeze!

Here's what I think of how I drew the characters:

Bagheera: I think he just turned out adorable, I love the pose and fluff! The face didn't turn out exactly as I wanted it to but it still looks alright.

Hathi: I don't particularly like his trunk and mouth but I think his face turned out good and his ears are so cute! Need to work a bit on the legs though, they're a bit too long.

Shere Khan: I'm soooo pleased with how he came out, he's normally one of the hardest to draw for me (him and kaa) and I normally mess up on his face but I think he looks really good here!

Louie: I'm happy with his muzzle, dunno about the eyes but whatever. I'm pleased with the pose too since I did some experimenting with it. In the original pic, Louie had his hand on Shere Khan's head and you couldn't see his feet but I did Shere Khan too close to Hathi so I had to improvise and put Louie's feet on his head and back instead and I think it turned out alright!

Baloo: The sketch looked better but I still like how I did him, I think he's probably the easiest to draw (along with Louie). I messed up on his right ear but I love the left one!

Kaa: I'm suprised he came out that good and his head is still no where near being the correct Disney anatomy. He has such an odd head shape that I can never get right, I definitely find Kaa one of the hardest cubs to draw!


Well I hope you like it, I might do a little Jungle Cubs pic series called "Remember" where the Cubs remember as adults what they did as cubs, this one would be "Remember we promised...to stay friends forever..." Because I think that they probably did think they WOULD stay friends forever (especially Louie and Baloo, it upsets me that they were best friends as cubs but then ended up as enemies as adults! D'X I know they're best friends as adults in talespin but I don't consider the Jungle Book and Talespin characters to be the same ones, I don't get how some of the Jungle animals who were quite realistic would just get up and start flying planes so I think of the Talespin characters more of counterparts of the Jungle Book ones.)
